Often I’m asked about the products I use day to day and at shows. These are the exact products I use and trust for my chickens. I've carefully selected items that meet my standards and deliver great results. Coop Supplies

  • A metal spoon with a black and metallic handle.

    Sand Dipper

    Great for cleaning smaller coops!

  • A large roll of black mesh wire fencing with a section unrolled on a surface, and an inset showing a hand touching the wire mesh.

    Hardware Cloth

Great at keeping critters out of the coops! Raccoons can’t get their hands through it. Mice and rats can’t go through it either. We are usually doing larger projects so we buy these longer 100’ rolls for much less than multiple home improvement store rolls.

  • Green measuring cup with capacity of 8 fluid ounces, showing interior diameter of 2.75 inches.

    Coop Cups

These are perfect for show cage cups. Small enough for easy transport and they nest together. They hang easily on the show cages and even transport boxes.

  • A man in work overalls holding a small handheld leaf or garden rake, with a chicken and several leaf or garden rakes of different sizes around him, all set against a white background.

    Veemi Coop Scoop

This is my favorite way to clean sand floor coops. It sifts through the sand easily and the front tines dig in quickly. The large scoop makes cleaning quick!

Grooming and Show

  • Luster's Pink Sheen Spray bottle for special conditioners

    Luster's Pink Sheen Spray

If you must use a sheen spray this is a good one to use. A little goes a long way though. This also works well for treating scaly leg mites.

  • Label for Cowboy Magic Greenspot Remover Waterless Shampoo, with a logo of a cowboy hat and boots, indicating it is a product made in the USA.

    Cowboy Magic Greenspot Remover

So easy to clean feather tips when the birds get poo on them at shows. No rinsing necessary!!

  • A white plastic spray bottle of Avon Skin So Soft original bath oil spray with a clear cap and light blue label.

    Avon Skin-So-Soft

This works well for treating scaly leg mites and adding to combs or wattles for some shine.

  • A brown paper package of PURE soap flakes for homemade laundry detergent, with a small pile of soap flakes at the bottom right.

    Pure Soap Flakes

A little goes a long way. Doesn’t seem to dry out feathers like Dawn dish soap does.

  • A white pet carrier with a fluffy ginger cat sitting inside, next to a smiling tricolor Corgi dog. In the background, there are five small bottles of colorful fabric dye.

    Automatic Pet Hair Dryer Box

Game changer for drying birds after washing. I can place 1 or more birds in at a time and they dry unattended within an hour. No more drying by hand!
